2025 BUSINESS LICENCE RENEWAL REMINDER

The Municipal District of Willow Creek issued Business licences are valid from January 1 to December 31 of each calendar year. Renewals are now required to ensure your business stays compliant for 2025. Please submit the business licence renewal payment by Jan 31, 2025.

Municipal District of Willow Creek requires all businesses that are operating, working, providing or selling a product or service within or partially within the municipal boundaries to possess a valid business license, as established in the Municipal Bylaw No. 1603. This also includes co-working spaces (any location leasing office/desk/room/salon chairs/spaces to other businesses). A person or business that does not have a permanent location within the Municipal District but is conducting business in the municipality must complete a non-resident application form. 

The Municipality realizes that every new business is different, and the permitting requirements to safely operate that business are also different. Contacting the Municipality to help guide you through the process, including helping you understand the need for a business licence, what zoning applies to your prospective location and possibly permits that may be required to operate your new business. Contacting the Municipality for discussion and get clarification on requirements will ensure the process is done properly and quickly with no delays.
