NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
MUNICIPAL DISTRICT OF WILLOW CREEK NO. 26
IN THE PROVINCE OF ALBERTA
PROPOSED BYLAW NO. 2033
1:00 p.m., February 25, 2026
Municipal District of Willow Creek No. 26 Council Chambers
PURSUANT to sections 216.4, 606, 606.1 and 692 of the Municipal Government Act, Statutes of Alberta, Chapter M-26, 2000, as amended, the Council of the Municipal District of Willow Creek No. 26 in the Province of Alberta hereby gives notice of its intention to consider Bylaw No. 2033 being an amendment to the existing municipal Land Use Bylaw No. 2025.
The land that is the subject of the proposed land use bylaw amendment is legally described as
A PORTION OF THE NORTHWEST ¼, SECTION 10, TOWNSHIP 9, RANGE 25, W4M
and this land is also shown on the map in Schedule “A” attached hereto.
AND WHEREAS the purpose of proposed Bylaw No. 2033 is to redesignate a ±0.45 ha (1.11 acre) portion of the above-noted lands from “Rural General - RG” to “Rural Industrial - RI” to provide for the opportunity to use and develop the lands in accordance with the provisions of the “Rural Industrial - RI” land use district.
THEREFORE, TAKE NOTICE THAT a public hearing to contemplate proposed Bylaw No. 2033 will be held in the Municipal District of Willow Creek No. 26 Council Chambers at 1:00 p.m. on the 25th day of February 2026. A copy of the proposed bylaw may be inspected at the Municipal District of Willow Creek No. 26 office during normal business hours.
AND FURTHER TAKE NOTICE THAT anyone wishing to make a presentation regarding the proposed Bylaw should provide written comments to the Chief Administrative Officer no later than 4:00 p.m. on February 19th, 2026. Those that wish to participate in the hearing virtually shall contact the Chief Administrative Officer no later than 4:00 p.m. on February 19th, 2026, to obtain a link to the hearing. The Council may hear from persons who did not indicate in writing to the Municipal Administrator their intention to make a submission.
