NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

MUNICIPAL DISTRICT OF WILLOW CREEK NO.26 IN THE PROVINCE OF ALBERTA

PROPOSED BYLAW NO.2023

1:00 p.m., January 14, 2026 Municipal District of Willow Creek No.26

Council Chambers

PURSUANT to sections 216.4, 606, 606.1 and 692 of the Municipal Government Act, Statutes of Alberta, Chapter M-26, 2000, as amended, the Council of the Municipal District of Willow Creek No. 26 in the Province of Alberta hereby gives notice of its intention to consider Bylaw No. 2023 being an amendment to the existing municipal Land Use Bylaw No. 2025.

 

The land that is the subject of the proposed land use bylaw amendment is legally described as:

 

A PORTION OF THE SOUTHEAST SECTION 18, TOWNSHIP 9, RANGE 26, WEST OF THE 4TH MERIDIAN

 

and this land is also shown on the map in Schedule “A” attached hereto.

AND WHEREAS the purpose of proposed Bylaw No.2023 is to redesignate portions of the above-noted lands from “Rural General - RG ”to“ Natural Resource Extraction - NRE” and from “Natural Resource Extraction - NRE ”to“ Rural General - RG ”to provide for the opportunity to use and develop the lands in accordance with the provisions of the aforementioned land use districts.

 

THEREFORE, TAKE NOTICE THAT a public hearing to contemplate the proposed Bylaw No. 2023 will be held in the Municipal District of Willow Creek No. 26 Council Chambers at 1:00 p.m. on the 14th day of January, 2026. A copy of the proposed bylaw may be inspected at the Municipal District of Willow Creek No. 26 office during normal business hours.

 

AND FURTHER TAKE NOTICE THAT anyone wishing to make a presentation regarding the proposed bylaw should contact the Chief Administrative Officer no later than 4:00 p.m. on the 7thth day of January, 2026.Both written and/or verbal presentations may be given at the public hearing.
